Perth Glory can confirm that defender Grace Johnston has completed a move to newly-promoted English Women’s Super League side Charlton Athletic.
Now 21, the dynamic full-back debuted for her hometown club as an 18-year-old in October 2023 and swiftly established herself as a first-team regular.
She played every minute of every game last season to take her tally of appearances in purple to 56 and was rewarded with the club’s 2026 Best Young Player Award.
Glory Football Director Stan Lazaridis was quick to acknowledge the contribution made by Johnston to the club and wish her all the best in the UK.
“Grace has been an outstanding performer on the field for Glory for several years and a fantastic member of the playing group off the pitch as well,” he said.
“She has worked incredibly hard on her game and has very much earned what is an incredible opportunity to play in what is widely regarded as the best women’s competition in the world.
“Of course we’re very disappointed to lose a player and character of Grace’s quality, but we would like to thank her and wish her good luck in the next stage of her career.”
Further ALW squad announcements will be made shortly.
