Perth Glory FC would like to congratulate Daniel De Silva, Riley Woodcock and Luke Radonich for being selected as part of Paul Okon-s 23 player squad for the upcoming Young Socceroos training camp to take place next week.

The training camp will be based in Sydney and will form part of the preparations for the AFC U-19 Championship in Myanmar, October 2014. In addition, the AFC U19 Championship doubles as a qualification tournament for the FIFA U-20 World Cup in New Zealand, to be held in July 2015.

Paul Okon (Young Socceroos coach) is excited about working with the players for the first time in 2014.

“This is the first of our four training camps that we will have in the lead up to the World Cup qualifiers (AFC U-19 Championship) in October,” said Okon.

“At the moment the goal is to identify as many players as possible that could fit into the squad as well as working on the structure and style of play that we want to take into the tournament”

“With the Foxtel National Youth League wrapping up in the next few weeks, these camps will become even more important in the coming months” concluded Okon.

De Silva, Woodcock and Radonich will be looking to get themselves into the starting eleven for a training match against the Marconi Stallions on Wednesday evening at Marconi Stadium, New South Wales. We wish them all the best.
