Glory CEO Anthony Radich to step down

Perth Glory Football Club wishes to advise that Chief Executive Officer Anthony Radich will step down from his role later this month, having formally advised the club of his resignation in April.

Since then, Anthony has remained focused on ensuring a smooth leadership transition, overseeing the Club’s FY27 strategy and budget, off-season player and staff recruitment, Membership and corporate renewal and on-sale campaigns and pre-season planning.

Anthony’s connection to Perth Glory spans the club’s entire history.

A supporter from its inaugural match in 1996, he has served the club as a volunteer, senior executive, major sponsor and ultimately, Chief Executive Officer.

Reflecting on his tenure, Anthony said he was proud to have led the Club through one of the most challenging periods in its history.

“When I accepted the opportunity to lead Perth Glory I did so as I felt a responsibility to help a club that has always meant so much to me,” he said.

“It has been an incredibly challenging and extraordinary journey at times, but I am immensely proud of what we have all achieved together.

“Working alongside an outstanding group of dedicated staff, we stabilised the club and kept it moving forward, strengthening its administration, governance and infrastructure, rebuilding critical stakeholder relationships (particularly with State and local governments), delivering significant commercial outcomes and laying important foundations, including our new headquarters, that will support the club’s future.”

Anthony said the experience had shaped him both personally and professionally.

“Leading Perth Glory Football Club has been an incredible privilege.

“It has taught me invaluable lessons and allowed me the wonderful opportunity to work alongside many passionate and talented people who care deeply about this club.

“I will be forever grateful for having the opportunity to serve the club I have loved since day one.

Although stepping away before seeing the club’s on-field resurgence fully take hold, Anthony said he leaves optimistic about what lies ahead.

“Perth Glory is now well positioned for future success and I firmly believe its best days are ahead.

“There won’t be anyone happier than me to see this club return to where it belongs as one of Australian football’s true powerhouses.

“While the time is right for me to pursue a new opportunity and career path, my connection with Perth Glory will never end.

“I will always be a Member, a supporter and someone who will do whatever I can to help this club succeed

“I leave with enormous gratitude and pride in my contribution over many years and optimism for what comes next.”

In closing, Anthony thanked everyone who has been part of his journey.

“From the bottom of my heart, I want to thank our owner and Chairman Ross Pelligra, Vice Chairman Jason Bontempo, Director Vincenzo Grella, our staff, players, coaches, corporate partners, sponsors and most importantly, our amazing Members and supporters for the privilege of serving this extraordinary club.

“Thank you for your trust, your loyalty and your unwavering passion.

“I wish everyone connected with Perth Glory every success in continuing to build the club into the powerhouse I know it can and will be.”

Glory Owner and Chairman Ross Pelligra was quick to acknowledge the key role Anthony played in driving Perth Glory forward during his tenure as CEO.

“Anthony has done an outstanding job guiding the club through one of the most challenging periods in its history and helping set it back on course for stability and success.” he said.

“His passion for Perth Glory runs deep and being the club’s CEO was always more than just a job for him.

“On behalf of everyone associated with Perth Glory, I would like to sincerely thank Anthony for his tireless work and dedication.

“Naturally we are disappointed to see him depart, but he will always remain a valued member of the Glory family and we wish him all the very best for the future.”
