Melbourne Victory prevailed once again in the second of Glory’s 2025 Regional South West Tour games, running out 3-0 winners at Bunbury’s Hay Park on Wednesday evening.

Fresh from a 1-0 victory in Mandurah on Sunday, last season’s beaten A-League Grand Finalists hit the front with 20 minutes on the clock as Matthew Grimaldi delivered a low cross from the left and Jing Reec tapped home.
Grimaldi then added a goal to his assist early in the second half, rifling a powerful shot into the bottom corner from the edge of the box and Victory added some further gloss to the scoreline in stoppage-time as substitute Oliver Dragicevic found the net.
With Sam Sutton and debutant Rhys Bozinovski to the fore, Glory had looked the likelier of the two sides to break the deadlock in the opening 15 minutes, but were caught out on the break for Victory’s opener and then struggled for attacking fluency during the remainder of the first half.
Their cause was not helped by the premature departure of midfield dup Callum Timmins and Brandon O’Neill, the former tweaking his hamstring and the latter sustaining nasty gash to his lip.
Head Coach David Zdrilic duly made a raft of further changes at half time and a more youthful Glory side immediately began to ask questions of the visitors’ defence.
Nathanael Blair headed a Will Freney cross over the bar inside the opening three minutes and although Grimaldi’s clinical finish soon doubled the visitors’ lead, Khoa Ngo almost hauled Glory back into it as he forced substitute goalkeeper Jack Warshawsky into a fine, low save.
Warshawsky then parried an angled effort from Blair as the men in purple continued to press into the shadows of full time.
But Arthur Diles’ side were destined to have the final word, Dragicevic poking in through a crowded box to ensure the navy-and-whites claimed the spoils.
