Another fixture has been added to Glory’s A-League pre-season schedule, with David Zdrilic’s side set to face off against the WA State Team on Wednesday 17 September.
The traditional annual Challenge Cup clash will take place at Dorrien Gardens, with kick-off at 6:30pm and admission FREE.
Former Glory Head Coach Ian Ferguson will again take charge of the WA State team, fresh from leading Dianella White Eagles to the State League Division One title.
The State Team squad includes a host of other familiar faces, including ex-Glory ALM representatives Aryn Williams, Luke Bodnar and Jayden Gorman.
The addition of the Challenge Cup game means that Glory now have four WA friendlies locked in, starting on Saturday (6th September) when the men in purple will take on Stirling Macedonia at Macedonia Park (kick-off at 5pm, admission via gold coin donation).
Following the meeting with the State Team on Wednesday 17 September, Glory will head south for the club’s Regional South West Tour when they will face Melbourne Victory at Madurah’s Peelwood Reserve on Sunday 21 September (kick-off at 3pm, tickets available HERE) and then line up against the navy-and-whites again at Bunbury’s Hay Park on Wednesday 24 September (kick-off at 6:30pm, tickets available HERE).
