The PGFC Academy Under-23s (First Team) will ramp up their pre-season campaign on Saturday when they take on Bayswater City at Alfred Skeet Reserve (Armadale) in the opening round of the 2025 NPLM Night Series (kick-off at 6:30pm).
The 12-team competition will again consist of two groups of six, with the top two sides from each group advancing to the semi-finals and Glory have been drawn in Group A alongside Friday’s opponents, Armadale SC, Balcatta Etna, Fremantle City and Olympic Kingsway.
Group B, meanwhile, consists of Floreat Athena, Perth RedStar, Perth SC, Sorrento FC, Stirling Macedonia and Western Knights.
The Night Series games will be played as double-headers at Dorrien Gardens, Alfred Skeet Reserve, Percy Doyle Reserve, Frank Drago Reserve and Macedonia Park over the course of the next six weeks.
Under new Head Coach Joe Heath, Glory will tackle Balcatta Etna at Percy Doyle Reserve after their opener against last season’s Night Series finalists Bayswater before heading to Frank Drago Reserve to face Fremantle City in Round 3.
Dorrien Gardens will provide the setting for the Round 4 clash with reigning 2024 NPL WA winners Olympic Kingsway and Glory will round off the group stage by returning to Alfred Skeet Reserve to go head-to-head with Armadale SC.
The dates and venues of the Semi-Finals and Final are yet to be confirmed.
