Perth Glory can confirm that midfielder Jarrod Carluccio has departed the club by mutual consent and re-joined Western Sydney Wanderers.
The 23-year-old moved to Glory in 2023, initially on loan from Wanderers and went on to make 23 appearances during the 2023/24 season.
He played a further 12 times this term and took his tally of goals for the club to two by scoring against Western United earlier this month.
Glory Football Director Stan Lazaridis was quick to pay tribute to the popular midfielder.
“Jarrod has made a hugely positive impression during his time at the club both on and off the field,” he said, “and his sterling efforts during some particularly challenging times have been hugely appreciated.
“However, with the way our squad is developing in terms of the players that we have coming in, we weren’t able to guarantee him the game-time that he needs at this stage of his career.
“Western Sydney Wanderers have offered Jarrod the opportunity to move home and the security of a longer-term deal and taking those emotional and football factors into account, a mutual termination of his contract has been agreed.
“This is very much an amicable parting of the ways and it is with a heavy heart that we see him go as he has been an absolute joy to work with.
“I know our Members and fans will join me in thanking Jarrod for the significant contribution he has made to Glory during his time here in the West and wishing him the very best of luck in the next chapter of his career.”
Further squad announcements will be made shortly.
