Cameron Cook’s Olympic dream remains well and truly alive after the Glory goalkeeper was named in the Subway Olyroos squad for this month’s AFC U-23 Asian Cup Qatar 2024.
Head Coach Tony Vidmar has selected 23 players for the tournament which will see the young Aussies take on Jordan, Indonesia and host nation Qatar in the group stage.
Should they finish in the top three, they will automatically qualify for the Paris 2024 Olympics as the AFC representatives, while the fourth-best team will play an AFC-CAF play-off match for the final qualification spot.
Cook, who has made 34 A-League appearances in purple since debuting for the club in 2021, is joined in the squad by former Glory midfielder Jacob Italiano.
