With just less than 2 weeks until Perth Glory take on La Liga giants, Málaga, in the LFP World Challenge match at nib Stadium on 27 July, the Spanish team have been very active in the transfer window bolstering their squad with some quality international recruits.

Joining Málaga CF for the pre-season friendly against Perth Glory will be on loan signing, Luis Alberto, who joins them from English Premier League heavyweights, Liverpool FC; Roberto Rosales, who with 50 caps for Venezuela, joins after playing for clubs in Belgium and Holland and competing in both the Europa league and the UEFA Champions League; and Ivory Coast-born, Arthur Boka, who has been involved in the last two World Cup tournaments with his country and has also won a German Championship with VfB Stuttgart.

“There is no doubt that this match against Málaga CF will be a great test for our new squad.” Head Coach Kenny Lowe said.

“It-s still very early on in our pre-season but to get the opportunity to test ourselves against such a strong and quality La Liga side, will be a great experience not only for the players but importantly for all the fans and members.”

“I know many Glory fans will be keen to catch a glimpse of former English Premier League star, Roque Santa Cruz, and no doubt young Liverpool winger, Luis Alberto, however Málaga have got a really strong side and as our first really competitive game it would be great to see the fans out giving us their support”. Lowe added.

Perth Glory CEO Jason Brewer also said “The game is shaping up to be a really good test for what we believe is a going to be a very competitive team in this year-s A-League.”

“I really hope all our fans take the opportunity to come to nib Stadium on 27 July and support the team and also show everyone in Perth how much we need international football here.” Brewer added
