Perth Glory FC is excited to announce it has signed Olyroo and Young Socceroo Christopher Josif Hagi Gligor.

The 20-year old Sydney born midfielder has arrived in Western Australia after a three year stint with Sydney FC.

Gligor broke onto the national scene after making his Hyundai A-League debut as  a 17-year old against the Central Coast Mariners in 2012.

He featured in the recent friendly matches against Chelsea and Tottenham and was a substitute for Sydney FC in this year’s Hyundai A-League Grand Final.

Gligor appeared 18 times for the Sky Blues.

“It’s been a great few years in my career so far and I am looking forward to capitalising on that experience with my move to Perth. It’s a new and exciting chapter for me and I’ll be doing my best to impress Kenny Lowe and the coaching staff to get as many starts as I possibly can” Gligor said.

Lowe said Gligor is a young and dynamic player who’s sure to impress when given the chance.

“Hagi is another young player with a good pedigree and great potential, and we’re delighted he’s made the move here. He’s represented the Olyroos and Young Socceroos so that indicates the calibre of player he is” he said.

Gligor, who has Romanian and Filipino heritage, has signed a one year deal with the option to extend his contract by another year.

He’ll join the rest of his teammates on Monday, for the first official day of the 2015/16 pre-season.
