The club would like to provide an update on our ongoing efforts to secure a fit for purpose venue in which to play the majority of our home games of the 2022/23 ISUZU Ute A-League Season.
We have been confronted by an incredibly challenging set of circumstances which no-one foresaw eventuating and which are completely out of our control.
Being informed so late in the piece of the unavailability of HBF Park during January and February has severely hampered and delayed our planning.
That said, we are now in the very final stages of our discussions with the various stakeholders, including the State Government, VenuesWest and Australian Professional Leagues (APL) and will be in a position to confirm the venue next week.
We understand and share our Members’ and fans’ frustration at the amount of time this process has taken, but it has involved multiple unique challenges, most notably the absence of alternative venues with suitable infrastructure and the club has left no stone unturned in its bid to ensure the best possible outcome for its Members and fans.
