Perth Glory hit the road this weekend when they travel to Alfred Skeet Oval to take on Armadale in week five of the PS4 National Premier League WA. (Saturday 3.00pm)

Glory Coach John Gibson said the youngsters are looking to feed off the A-League sides Hyundai A-League Finals campaign, which kicks off this weekend, as they look for their first NPL WA win of the season.

“There is a super buzz around the club at the moment, and its great news for everyone involved reaching the A-League finals, and the group wish them all the best on Sunday against Melbourne City,” he said.

“We go into our game looking to put another consistent performance and we are well aware that we not far away from being rewarded for our performances.

“We’ve taken a lot of belief and confidence for our games so far and played some good consistent football this season, and we will be looking to continue this improvement.”

Gibson said the players have been fantastic this week at training, despite the last gasp loss last week against Sorrento.

“The group as per usual came in training on Monday morning positive and looking to work hard in preparation for this week’s game on Saturday at Armadale,” he said.

“The group is strong in character and have good self-belief, and although we need to improve in certain areas of the park, the group is hungry to be better.

“Armadale won for the first time last week at Balcatta, and will be another tough opponent for us, but we going into the game like we do every week, focusing on ourselves, the details and maintaining high standards, and ready to putting in a super performance.”
